What is it with people anyway?
| January 1st, 2006I guess I just don’t get it sometimes.
You know, I deal with a lot of people on a day to day basis. Some of them are truly pleasurable to work with, most however are complete assholes. Either the bitchy woman, the crotchity old man, or the spoiled teenager. And out of all of those, the spoiled asshole teenager takes the cake. Or rather, the cake is spoonfed to him and he/she complains about it.
Although the concept may be laughable to many of you, I had to work for everything that I have today. A home, my car, the respect of my parents, respect at my workplace, and the love of my girlfriend. All of which takes some measure of work to accomplish or continue to have. And for a good percentage of people, all of this is simply handed to them on a golden platter. These people fucking bother me more than anyone else. And worst of all, this is a huge problem.
I don’t just see this on a professional basis. I see this happening to a good chunk of people I called friends. Now that nothing is given to them, they sit around all day doing nothing but getting wasted and laying at home while the rest of the world passes them by. News flash: your life is going to turn pathetic if you’re 30 years old doing the same shit. Surprise!
Oh well. Maybe someday the lot of you will grow the fuck up and take a look around. Maybe some good will come out of it.
FYI: I’ll go back to geek bitching eventually.
Well, you reap what you sow. Those spoiled people don’t realize or care what they’re doing until they grow old, tired of it, and become miserable. But by then, it’s too late…or they just have to work even harder, which is usually discouraging, so they’ll continue being miserable instead. :D
Besides, you do your own thing, don’t worry about anybody else because they’ll face their consequences, whether good or bad. You can talk about it as much as you want, but until people fully realize things themselves, the little light bulb in their head is going to be off. Yeah, in the meantime dealing with those other people can be annoying, but your own work will pay off for you and all you care. So, just leave people to their own and just go on with your life.
Also, you don’t have to work very hard for my love. As long as there is respect, trust, and honesty (haha yeah it does sound like work to most, doesn’t it? but I know it’s not that hard for you) between us, we’re good.
