This is something that has baffled me for so long that it’s really starting to piss me off.

Why are people so insistent on buying used equipment? I get asked every day “do you have used laptops?” “Do you have used memory?” “Do you have used LCD flatpanel monitors that are under cost?”

Fuck you. Fuck all of you. Fuck you and your mothers and the rest of your cheapass family. I wish I could wipe all of you off the face of the planet for bargaining every last bit out of a small business. “What’s my discount?” Your discount is a slap in the face and a foot up your ass. I hope it was worth it.

What bothers me is how incredibly cheap the people of this town, this state, this country seems to be. Nobody’s satisfied with the price of things. Nobody can accept that the price list is the FINAL price, it’s not going to be adjusted because you’re buying a bunch of shit. Why would I want to lose money because you’re buying more stuff? Guess what, I’m done with it.

Since I now have the authority to call the shots at my store, I’m done dealing with it. The only discounts I hand out are to people who have purchased more than $10,000 of merchandise, or I personally like you. Otherwise, fuck you. I’m done. I’ve had it and I’m done.

In fact, it’s continuing now.  Every 5 minutes I’m asked if I can adjust pricing for them, because every customer that walks through the door is instantly special.  No, not really.  This store isn’t about the customers, it’s about our survival.  We all work here to keep this company afloat so we can afford our daily lives.  We don’t need people who do nothing but beg for a discount, might as well ask them to leave.  Will it earn us a bad reuptation? Possibly, but whatever.
