You know… I wrote this thing 4 years ago while sitting on a rather comfortable chair at GPC Computers in Grand Rapids, MI. By the way, quite possibly the coolest group of people I’ve ever worked with. I’m sad to see where it’s gone now.
Anyway, back on topic Hi, I’m Dan – I call this site Technobang. The name came from the desire for me to build a place where I can write about the various bits of technology that I encounter on a day-to-day basis. It also came from the desire, should this fail, that I would turn it into a crappy porn site. It lasted about 3 days, then I gave up and let it sit for an entire year. No porn.
Further, I had an old blog located on rabid-duck that I had updated occasionally, often with things less technology related. I didn’t like it being on rabid-duck. Mostly because that is now a collection of misfits that I hang out with either personally or virtually and me ranting about why winter should shove a coathanger up its cunt doesn’t quite reflect that.
So a brilliant idea popped into my head: why not move it onto this unused and stale domain name and call it Technobang with the hope that no one notices this clearly used to be rabid-duck!
Like many of plans, this was entirely 100% brilliant. Honest.
