I’m not much on New Years. In fact, it’s really just another day to me. I’m doing the same crap I’d do anyway except when I wake up tomorrow I have to memorize another number to put on the end of my dates along with a pounding headache. Meanwhile, people around the world are involving themselves in a drunken orgy-like gropefest in which they all celebrate that they’ve survived yet another year of their meaningless lives.

Boy. Boy oh boy oh boy, it’s finally happened. The Xbox 360. Now this in itself doesn’t really interest me, in fact I couldn’t care less about the next console system, I haven’t played my Xbox in years. However, auctions such as this really catch my eye.

This is ridiculous. Are you people really that desperate for the next big gaming system? Most of the auctions on ebay right now are anywhere between $1000-$3000. And the worst part is, people are actually bidding on them! They’re selling like cocaine at a rehab clinic.

No thanks. I’ll just wait 6 months when they’re actually in stock at retail stores, and I can purchase them at $299 like regular people.

Holy shit.

This is it, right here. Proof that kids are becoming so stupid that they cannot comprehend the English language in a way that actually gets them to learn. Seriously. I can’t believe it’s to the point where we have to dumb down literary classics INTO FUCKING TEXT MESSAGES so that today’s students can actually comprehend them. It’s mind boggling.

Attention highschool students: YOU ARE FUCKING STUPID. My hats off to you, you have beaten the education system. I bet Japan is pointing and laughing right now.

I’ll be honest, I hate shorthand text messaging. It’s retarded. It’s less retarded than shorthand typing “ur mom / lol w/e” on a keyboard, but stupid nonetheless. The fact that you morons are now so stupid that you have to read Shakespeare as “2B? NT2B?=???” is not even laughable, it’s just terrible. I want to put emphasis on the fact that these people are the next generation. A generation of morons who can’t spell, let alone read.

HP in battle with Microsoft and Intel over HD and BluRay
Fort Collins (CO) – In response to Microsoft’s and Intel’s joint announcement on Monday that they had joined the HD DVD Promotions Group, citing six of what they consider failures of rival Blu-ray high-definition video disc technology, an engineer for Blu-ray proponent HP, who is close to the standards process for the Blu-ray Disc Association, is claiming Intel and Microsoft have been extensively misled, and are spreading misleading information about Blu-ray Disc.

“I think there’s some misinformation being spread about the Blu-ray Disc format,” Josh Peterson, director of strategic alliances for HP’s Optical Storage Solutions group, told Tom’s Hardware Guide. HP is an outspoken member of the Blu-ray Disc Association, and an active participant in building standards for that format. “Certainly, Microsoft and Intel carry big brand presence,” Peterson added, “but we don’t really feel that their support of either format is really going to change the landscape with respect to hardware availability in the marketplace, or the consumer choice…when products are on the shelf next year.”

If there’s one thing I’m tired of in today’s marketing is multiple standards for something that performs the exact same task. Yet another prime example is the ongoing battle of Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. Now I understand that we live under the lovely umbrella of capitalism, but there’s a point where diversity among product bases is just completely unnecessary. This seems to be a recurring theme when looking at the DVD market. DVD+R and DVD-R anyone?

hey, this is a test message to make sure i know how to do this.

for those of you who have no clue what this is, (as i would assume is just about everyone since it is brand new), this is my place to rant on about technology. By “rant” i’m speaking of my true outlook and opinion on the state of technology, particularly focusing on computers, (and i’m not just talking about the Windows XP running, spyware inhabitted thing you call a PC you’re reading this from).

My assumptions about this “blog,” (for a lack of a better term at this point) is that it will fail just like everything else that i usually do that involves this damn thing we call the internet. Yes, i’ll be the first to admit that this is a completely self-centered, egotistical web site/blog/whatever, but the bottom line is, i’ve tried normal blogging and the people who read that shit are NOT technically inclined…hence why no one understood half the crap i posted on there.

…not to mention i have a certain visiter that won’t fucking leave me alone…HEY i haven’t posted in a few months! i’m not planning on posting again, STOP visiting my site three times a day! you’re wasting your time…oh wait i forgot we’re all good at that…i mean after all, you’ve read all this and at this point i’m hoping you realize you’ve learned nothing…

well that’s about the change as i will be reveiling a lot of news about technology as well as rumors and market outlooks and predictions as i see fit. I will also bash a lot of technologies…but never without reason. The main reason i’m doing this is to get a bit of feed back and assure the fact that i’m not just some crazy right-wing fuckin’ twit who thinks he actually has a valid opinion in an industry which is solely defined by opinions, performance and as you may soon find…marketing…a sick amount of marketing.
